Gamer’s Digest predicts that Valorant will be the most popular FPS of the year. In many opinions, it is a mixture of CS:GO and Overwatch, and the focus is on keeping the balance and maintaining the game’s integrity.
If you’re a CS:GO champion, looking to test your skills in Valorant, then you should try this out. CS:GO maps Mirage and Dust2 have certainly improved your aim and recoil skills, but none of that will matter much unless the mouse sensitivity matches what you’re used to. Your steam sensitivity might be tracked between titles, but this is Riot’s world now.
We hold out hope that other smart individuals have already done the math of us, and that they have already told us how to convert CS:GO to Valorant sensitivity. Besides Apex and overwatch, they have also done it for Rainbow Six Siege.
Also, A long time has passed since a game like VALORANT came out, which is one of the most hyped games in the genre. This game incorporates elements of both Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Overwatch. Which skills are lacking? It doesn’t have as high of a learning curve as CS:GO, meaning people can master it more easily.
In terms of similarities, the layout, mechanics, and your personal settings (crosshairs, sensitivity) are similar to what you would find in other games, and there are differences between the agents, grenades, and skills.
Convert CS:GO to Valorant Sensitivity
As a point of information, the magic number is 3.18.
In other words, you need to divide your CS:GO mouse sensitivity by 3.18 in order to convert to Valorant. Let me show you how you can convert your sensitivity if you are unsure how to do it.
Know Your CS:GO Sensitivity
Before doing anything, we have to know what’s your CSGO sensitivity. For that follow below’s introduction.
Click on the Cog/Settings icon on the left-hand sidebar of CS:GO to access your CS:GO settings.
If you go to the Keyboard/Mouse options, you can see your Mouse Sensitivity number. In our case, my CS:GO sensitivity is 2.50. So simple math here is: 2.50 (CSGO Sens) / 3.18 equals 0.786 (Valorant Sens).
The sensitivity you will get from the result won’t be accurate as it’s totally different game but believe me, if you increase or decrease a bit, or practice for some days, you will be good at it or you will able to feel the same sensitivity you used to it before.

Use the Calculated Sensitivity in Valorant
By clicking on the Gear/Settings button in the top left of the screen, you will access Valorant’s settings.
Paste the calculated number in the Sensitivity: Aim. In my case, the calculated number is 0.786.
If you are/were an Overwatch or Rainbow Six Siege or Apex Legends player and wants to convert your sensitivity to Valorant, then follow these:
- Valorant Sensitivity = CS:GO or Apex Legends Sensitivity / 3.18
- Valorant Sensitivity = Overwatch Sensitivity / 10.6
- Valorant Sensitivity = Rainbow Six Siege Sensitivity / 12.2
It’s very important to move your mouse to a set distance across your mouse pad and see how far you turn each game if you’re aiming for perfect sensitivity. Afterward, Valorant sensitivity can be tweaked to suit your needs. This guide will hopefully help you experience the benefits of Valorant sensitivity when you convert your CS:GO sensitivity.
We recommend a slightly lower sensitivity in Valorant due to the game’s slow pace and tactical nature. I would prefer a 360-degree turning distance of 25cm to 45cm.
You can aim with more precision when the sensitivity is lower. Although this comes at the expense of faster turns, it is less relevant in a game like Valorant.
